So what does it take to start enjoying the sale of crafts shows your craft? Below are the first four steps I take to get your small business on the field:
1.) Choose the right craft - This is easier said than done. If you have to do a boat for $ 10 each, and you can not sell it for $ 12 at a craft show, you probably will not be happy with the overall profit at the end of the day. It is important for you to choose a profession that has a low cost of startup and a sale price higher - is the basis of this company 101. Something you only costs $ 3 to do and you can sell for $ 10 is going to give your bottom line a huge boost.
2.) Set your price right - It is crucial that the right to choose crafts. In order to price your right, you need to know exactly how many charges of crafts to make. This includes all costs associated with the manufacture and sale of crafts: transporting and crafts shows, driving to get supplies, supply costs and even a little over a labor cost , Too. Once you set your cost, you can set the retail price, and provide a decent return on investment. You probably do not need to make your fortunes of handicrafts, but it would be nice to see a good profit at the end of the day.
3.) Lower supply costs - Do what you can to keep supply costs as low as possible. This is where you will bear the costs when the craft. If you think about it, if you can drag the cost of your boat $ 1, just by making smart choices of supply, every time you sell a boat, which will now dollar in your pocket.
4.) Choose wisely boat shows - If you pay $ 500 for a weekend crafts show, keep in mind that you need to understand that throughout the "cost" of your boat. If only 1000 people come through the door to show that the craft, the likelihood that you will not make enough money to recover the cost of the program. This could be an extreme example but it illustrates the point. Take time to choose the event that happens to you more for your money. It will probably take some time to eliminate the craft shows that do not work for you, but before long you can go to the shows where you know there is a strong demand for your boat.
These are only four things to think about start enjoying crafts shows. The right of the craft at the right price at the right craft show - with low supply costs - will help you home a heftier payday at the end of the weekend. Good luck!
