Making candles is a fun and easy that can be appreciated by the entire family. Home made candles make a great gift, each a unique creation. You can make a nice gift with a candle in the center. The manufacture of candles can be found in shops, grocery stores or online, making it very easy to get into this hobby interesting and entertaining.
There are different styles of candles can be made. Each of these candles are made in a different way. Candles can be made in a mold, with mussels be of different shapes and sizes. The perfumes can be added to spark more pleasant when it is burning. Almost all spices can be added in the manufacture of candles to provide a unique flavor for every occasion.
Types of candles
1. Taper Candles - thin candles designed to be placed in a candleholder.
2. Pillar Candles - usually a free standing candle at least 3 inches wide. Can come in many forms.
3. Container or Jar Candle - a candle that is poured into a glass or ceramic designed to resist heat.
4. Votive Candle - A small cylindrical candle, about 1 ½ inches in diameter and 2 or 2 ½ inches high, designed to be placed in a cup or votive holder to hold the liquid wax.
5. Gel candle - A type of transparent candle is mainly gelled mineral oils.
6. Tealight - A small, cylindrical, candle filled with about 1 inch in diameter and about 1 ½ inches tall.
A simple method of candle making is to make a pencil candle. This is done by mixing old crayons paraffin. This process of making candles color is a good choice for families who have old, broken crayons laying around that are no longer used.
