Fun Snowflake Craft Ideas and Instructions By Penny Vedrenne

Keep the focus on the simple pleasures of the holiday season with a few snowflakes artful crafts. What could be more beautiful than mere decorations for a setting that is modest, honest, warm and welcoming? And what could be simpler than a snowflake? It is an image that we travel at Christmas time, our youth and all the years between the two. Here are some ideas I have for you to make the snowflake on your Holiday decorations painted fabrics and more! You'll even find some tips to make unique gifts to give.

Snowflakes are still six sides. Thus, to make paper snowflakes, you need to fold the paper a model of 6 symmetrical extensions. First, fold a sheet of paper starting with the upper right corner to ensure that the upper edge of the paper and the right are aligned. Cut the paper is not folded in the area. Bring the two points on the side folded together and mark the center. From the point unfolded, measuring 3 and 1 / 8 "along each side and make a mark. Draw lines from the center of the mark every time marks on the side and bend spread along each line. It seems a little complicated snowflake paper but once you see how it is done you will see that it's easy to fold without measure.

For the snowflake, craft projects, you will need to create a snowflake and cut a stencil. To cut paper snowflakes, fold the paper and cut a few pieces. To cut the openings on the sides, using a pair of scissors, but if you want to create a more detailed plan, use a knife to cut the craft of openings in the center of the folded paper. I find it better to draw a plan before you start cutting. Unfold the paper and carefully flatten your snowflake cutout design. Create a template by tracing the snowflake design on a sheet of paper or stencil film (permanently, use multiple stencil). Cut the design with a craft knife. It's like creating a negative. Now that you have a snowflake and a stencil breaker, you're ready to start having fun creating fabulous crafts.

If you need a different size, you can put the drawings on a copy of the machine and reduce or enlarge the size to fit your project.

Set a holiday and celebration this year by napkins woven decoration. I found a packet of colored cotton towels in a discount store and painted a snowflake in the corner. When the towel is folded or suspended through a napkin ring, the snowflake is the centerpiece. Make sure to find a towel that is made from a fabric that does not smooth texture of it. You can find the painted fabric to your local craft store. When applying paint to the napkin through the stencil using an up and down, dabbing motion to apply the paint on the fabric. A move back and brush painting grow under the stencil and smear your image. Use a brush to stencil. Foam brushes work well too. Keep the dry brush on the side. A brush to paint too much can cause the paint to seep under the stencil. Heavier color is achieved by applying several layers of color of light with the drying time between the two.

With the "less is more" theme, tied my napkins with a thin string of rope and paste a couple of Christmas ornaments of wood at each end instead of using a towel ring fantasy.

I mentioned that you can find fabric paints in your local craft store, but if you are not able to find these regular acrylic too much work. But in May they not wash as well and tend to be a little tougher when it is dry.

Good golly - let's get happy! Do you bring your Christmas spirit? Then, a few snow flakes of paint on a t-shirt or sweatshirt. Maybe you know someone who loves the art to wear for Christmas. Then make a donation for laptops. Paint several snowflakes across the front. Use a different color for each and then the whole with some glitter spray. There are so many things you can do with a simple snowflake crafts.

When we picture snowflakes, we generally think of children simple crafts. But the snowflakes can be class. Remember to decorate a fabric with a bag of wine painted snowflake. You can find plain bags to most of your stores and the plainer the better. Simply secure your stencil in place and use a little painting. I found some that were green and red velvet with tie strings and gold tassel. I painted two or three drawings snowflake on one side in gold paint. Then I sprayed a very thin layer of gold glitter spray. Drag a good bottle of wine inside the bag and you have a beautiful gift for wine connoisseur.

Stencil a snowflake on the corner of a beautiful linen handkerchief. You can give the gift of himself or embracing a treasure inside. I like to hang them on the side of a basket and fill the basket with goodies like the one pictured above, which is filled with red and green apple. I browse the flea markets and thrift stores to find vintage handkerchiefs. They lend an old world feel to your snowflake crafts.

Well, I know you are ready to begin a snowflake on certain trades. I hope that this information has inspired you to create wonderful Christmas art!
