Fourth Of July Craft Ideas For Kids by: Alice Seba
Sunday, December 28, 2008

Independence Day is a happy summer holiday, full of festivals, fireworks, and other activities. It is also a tribute to the beginnings of our country. Fourth of July crafts are a fun way for children to commemorate the anniversary of our independence. Here are some ideas.

Windsocks are a fun and attractive outdoor decoration. They are also easy to do. All that you need a box of oatmeal, some blue and white construction paper, red and white banners, scissors and glue. Cut the end of the box of oatmeal and cover it with blue construction paper, and reduce the stars of white construction paper to glue on. Then cut some red and white streamers at the same length, and stick to an end. Tie a string to the other end of the hanging.

Girls may be some patriotic hair accessories for the occasion. Just buy barrettes clear, red, white, blue or son, and patriotic beads or buttons of the shop. Wrap tightly around the son of the card, and glue each end to the rear. Then, some beads or buttons, or make a bow a little more over for a simple but very dry arc.

Fireworks are a favorite on the Fourth of July. You can do fireworks single image with pencils and paper white. First, use many different colors to a model in the document. Dark. Then get a pencil and black color throughout the paper dark. Use a paper clip to scratch a fireworks design, and you'll have a colored image of fireworks in the night sky.

Fourth of July parades are great, but think of the fun children could have their own parade! They can decorate their bikes red, white and blue crepe paper and tape. Then they will need a patriotic costumes. If they have some holiday-appropriate clothing that great, but if they can not easily paint some stars and stripes on an old t-shirt with fabric paint. Create your own flags and signs with paper and markers. Gather a few toys property or musical instruments, stick horses, and some flags, and you can have a magnificent parade in your own backyard.

The Fourth of July is the ideal time for summer crafts. These are just some of the many articles that children can do for the occasion. Once you get them started, they will probably think of many other creative ideas on their own. Make sure you have the basics such as construction paper, scissors, glue, art supplies, crafts and sticks in hand, and you'll be surprised what they will bring.
